What does not AI made mean on this shirt?
It means a person drew the design and the drawing was written into a public record with a date before any shirt was sold. It is a claim about who made the artwork and when, and it is checkable.
How do I check the claim myself?
Open the record index, find the serial, and read the page. Each record carries the design, the serial, the date it was recorded, the run size and a hash of the entry. A copy of the record is also stored on the Internet Archive, which Carter Enterprise does not control.
What does the record actually prove?
The date. It proves the design was written into a public record on the date shown and that the date cannot be moved afterward. That is all it proves.
What does the record not prove?
It does not prove how you obtained the shirt, whether the design is any good, or what it will be worth later. If a serial ever shows up twice, that is worth knowing, and the record is how you would find out.
Is there a blockchain?
No, and none is needed. A dated public page does the same job and anyone can read it for free.
Is the serial printed on the shirt?
No. The seal and the date are what you get on the garment. The serial lives on the record page. It is not printed on the shirt and it is not on the tag.
